Concerts in Crieff – Palisander
February 26 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm£12
Put aside all prejudice you may have towards the humble recorder, especially if your opinion is based on the memory of learning to play it at school. Palisander will show you this beautiful and ancient range of instruments in a new light. From the tiny and very high sopranino to the lowest warm tones of the bass, you will be surprised and delighted at the range of sound and texture a group of recorders can make.
Palisander’s debut album ‘Beware the Spider’ was released last year and received a four star review from BBC Music Magazine. Classic FM recently featured a liver performance of one of the pieces from the album which received over 4.6 million views.
This concert a aptly called ‘Recorder Revolution!’ and tracks the evolution of the recorder music from the familiar music of the Baroque period and earlier, all the way through to the music of today.
This concert is sponsored by the Tunnell Trust.
