We are delighted to be welcoming back Naomi and Fali Pavri, this time with the addition of the talented clarinetist, Yann Ghiro.
These exceptionally talented musicians come together with a rich and colourful programme which celebrates Brahms’s love of the clarinet. The clarinet trio is one of four late pieces that Brahms was inspired to write after listening to the gifted clarinetist Richard Mühlfeld. His friend Mandyczewski, on hearing it, was moved to say that it was ‘as though the instruments were in love with each other.’
As a complete contrast Naomi and Fali Pavri will perform a piece for cello and piano by the Indian composer John Mayer, whose music fuses jazz influences with the exotic flavour of Indian classical music.
