  • Profile

Crieff & Strathearn Drovers’ Tryst annually celebrates the life, work and play of the people who made Crieff the cattle-droving crossroads of Scotland in the 1700s. The modern day Tryst is a walking festival run by volunteers and built around a programme of guided walks in the stunning scenery and autumn colours of Strathearn & surrounding areas of Perthshire. The walks vary in difficulty but all are enriched by wildlife, plants, trees, history and the company of like-minded people.

Complementing the walks is a series of enjoyable evening social events, with talks, music, drama and film! The Tryst also embraces a mountain bike event, The Hairy Coo, and there is great food and drink to be enjoyed in local restaurants and cafes, a wide choice of places to stay and many other interesting attractions. You will also be able to enter any photos you take during our walks into the Tryst Photography competition – click on PHOTOS on the top menu for more information.

Contact us on droverstryst@gmail.com if you have any queries.

Perthshire VisitScotland Information Centres cannot take bookings over the phone, but you can visit in person and they will take bookings and payment while you are there.
